A talking game for the fire circle.

Pass the phone around a campfire, a dinner table, or the back seat of a car. Pick a category, start the round, and shout your way through the words. Blurt needs no signal, no account and no setup.

Three ways to play. I describe — you hold the phone and talk around the word without saying it. I guess — you hold the phone facing out and never see the word, while the group describes it to you. I act — charades, no talking at all.

7,200 phrases across 56 decks, from Around Camp and Animals to a block aimed squarely at the grown-ups: 90s catchphrases, ad slogans, toys, fads and music. Every mode also has an Everything deck, so a round starts without anyone choosing a theme.

Flip the Kids switch and the decks change to simple words that each carry a picture, so a child who cannot read yet can play by looking. Mid-round, the Kid word button pulls one easy word for whoever just got the phone, and the next word goes back to the grown-up deck. Nobody has to sit out.

Blurt has no sign-in, no subscription, no advertising and no analytics. It contains no networking code at all — nothing you do leaves your device.
