Common questions
Where is my data kept?
On your device, and only on your device. Meld has no account and no server — see the privacy policy.
Can I change a game after it has started?
Yes, that’s the point. Open Game settings from the scoreboard to rename the game, change the target score, switch between high-score-wins and low-score-wins, or add and remove columns mid-game. Turning a column off hides its data but keeps it — turn it back on and the history returns.
Can I fix a score I entered wrong?
Yes. Tap the cell you want to change and correct it. Past rounds stay editable.
Can I swap players partway through?
Open Manage players from the scoreboard. You can substitute players, reorder seats, and remove people; past rounds stay intact.
Does it handle teams?
Yes — set the format to teams during setup, and score by team while keeping each player’s individual record.
What are presets?
A saved layout — format, columns, and target — that pre-fills a new game. Meld ships with presets for several classics, and you can save your current layout as a new one from Game settings.
What’s the “?” button?
A built-in reference of classic card games — how to play and how to score them. You can import one to turn it into a preset.
Is there an iPad or Mac version?
Not yet. Meld is an iPhone app today.
